چکیده
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to assess return play (RTP), patient-reported outcomes (PRO), and reoperation rates following patellofemoral stabilization surgeries (PSS) for recurrent patellar instability (RPI) in a cohort competitive wrestlers. Methods: All wrestlers with history an RPI subsequent PSS at single institution between 2000 2020 were identified. Primary ranged from MPFL reconstruction (n = 31; 50%) or repair 22; 33.5%), other 9; 14.5%) the form tibial tubercle osteotomy (TTO), lateral retinaculum release (LRR), medial reefing (MRR). Exclusion criteria included revision PSS, concomitant anterior cruciate ligament multi knee injury. patients contacted determination reinjury rates, current sport status, PROs. Surgical failure defined as dislocation despite operative management need secondary PSS. Results: Ultimately, 62 knees 56 mean follow-up time 6.6 years (range, 2.0 – 18.8 years). RTP occurred 55.3% 8.8 ± 6.7 months. Among no differences observed (P .676), postoperative pain .176), Tegner activity level .801), International Knee Documentation Committee .378), Lysholm .402), Kujala scores .370). Recurrent most common complication 21% knees. types, had lowest rate (6.5% vs. 27.3% 55.6%; P .005), surgical (9.7% 31.8% .008). Kaplan-Meier survivorship free entire 91.9% 1 year, 77.7% 5 years, 65.7% 15 years. highest when compared up 10 after index surgery (90.3% 64.1% 27.8%; .048). Conclusions: remains concern may serve more durable treatment option lower surgery. [Table: see text]

Surgical outcomes of 26 patients with pigmented villonodularsy-novitis (PVNS) of the knee at a mean follow-up of 4 years: intro-ducing a novel technique
Background :Pigmented villonodularsynovitis (PVNS) is characterized by the presence of inflammation and hemosiderin deposition in the synovium. Two forms of PVNS distinguished in the literature are diffused and localized involvements. There are controversies in the literature about the surgical management of PVNS. We report our experience in the management of knee PVNS at a mean follow-up of ...

Background: The aim of this study was to evaluate functional outcome and complications with a long term followup (minimum of 2 years post-operative) in patients with mid-shaft clavicle fractures treated with precontoured lockingplates. Methods: We included 41 patients. Goniometric measurement of shoulder range of motion (ROM) was performed,as well as functional evaluation using the rating scale ...
متن کاملA surgical algorithm for the treatment of recurrent patellar dislocation. Results at 5 year follow-up.
Several options exist for the treatment of recurrent patellar dislocation. In our institution a specific treatment algorithm for patellofemoral maltracking, depending on skeletal maturity and the recognition of local risk factors has been in use for several years. The aim of our study was to evaluate the overall results of using this algorithm and to compare the outcome of the different subgrou...
متن کاملWidespread Implementation of Medial Patellofemoral Ligament Reconstruction for Recurrent Patellar Instability Maintains Functional Outcomes at Midterm to Long-Term Follow-up While Decreasing Complication Rates: A Systematic Review.
PURPOSE Our primary purpose was to evaluate whether complications have increased or functional outcomes have changed as medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL) reconstruction has been adopted by more surgeons at more institutions over recent years. Our secondary purpose was to further define the complication profile of MPFL reconstruction. METHODS A systematic review of the literature was perfo...
