چکیده

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to compare functional outcomes and clinical threshold achievement rates patients with radiographic signs global acetabular retroversion who underwent hip arthroscopy for FAI minimum follow-up 5 years. Methods: Patients were identified from a single-surgeon prospectively-collected database primary treatment FAI. completed patient-reported outcome (PRO) surveys at both baseline 5-year follow-up. Demographic data collected including age, sex, BMI time surgery, symptom length. Intraoperative findings recorded, the Outerbridge grade, presence labral tears, chondral delamination, subspine impingement, cam lesions, pincer mixed-type Global assessed on AP view using three signs: ischial spine, posterior wall, crossover signs. Other measures included alpha angle measured (AP, 45° Dunn, 90° Dunn), lateral center edge (LCEA), Tönnis grade. Results: We 124 had adequate imaging complete PROs. Preoperative X-rays demonstrated spine sign in 65 (52.4%), wall 61 (49.2%), 75 (60.5%). Mean highest (62.2°), followed by Dunn (55.9°) (50.9°) mean LCEA 38.5°. A comparison no significant differences between groups BMI, preoperative length, mHHS or NAHS (p>0.05). At follow-up, reported improvement (mean 50.4 82.7, p<0.001) (49.4 85.5, p<0.001). Achievement high MCID (90.3%), SCB (80.7%), PASS (79.0%) mHHS. Three-way frequency found that all tended be present together (40 patients, 32.3%) absent (31 25.0%). Pairwise comparisons tetrachoric correlation testing significantly correlated one another: versus (rtet=0.65, corrected p<0.001), (rtet=0.74, (rtet=0.51, Multivariable analysis did not find any independent predictors Posterior associated lower odds achieving (OR = 0.62, 95% CI [0.06 1.09]) but achieve significance (χ 2 =3.39, p=0.07). Overall, MCID, SCB, differ cohorts respect each Conclusions: Clinical among based mHHS, NAHS, PASS. Surgeons should reassured these regain function rate similar greater population.

Outcomes following hip arthroscopy for femoroacetabular impingement with associated chondrolabral dysfunction: minimum two-year follow-up.

Over an eight-month period we prospectively enrolled 122 patients who underwent arthroscopic surgery of the hip for femoroacetabular impingement and met the inclusion criteria for this study. Patients with bilateral hip arthroscopy, avascular necrosis and previous hip surgery were excluded. Ten patients refused to participate leaving 112 in the study. There were 62 women and 50 men. The mean ag...

Arthroscopic Acetabular Labral Reconstruction with Fascia Lata Allograft: Clinical Outcomes at Minimum One-Year Follow-Up

BACKGROUND The integrity of the acetabular labrum is crucial to normal biomechanics of the hip joint. Disruption of the labral seal could be detrimental to the overall nutrition of the cartilage, leading to its premature degeneration. PURPOSE The aim of this study is to determine the clinical effectiveness of arthroscopic hip labral reconstruction using fascia lata allograft. The hypothesis i...

Patient reported outcomes for patients who returned to sport compared with those who did not after hip arthroscopy: minimum 2-year follow-up

Previous studies assessed elite athletes' return to sport (RTS) after hip arthroscopy, but few investigated a cohort including athletes from all levels of sport. This study compared athletes who returned to sport to those who did not, based on four patient-reported outcome (PRO) scores, including the Hip Outcome Score-Sports Specific Subscale (HOS-SSS). Between September 2008 and April 2012, hi...

Cytokines as a predictor of clinical response following hip arthroscopy: minimum 2-year follow-up

Hip arthroscopy in patients with osteoarthritis has been shown to have suboptimal outcomes. Elevated cytokine concentrations in hip synovial fluid have previously been shown to be associated with cartilage pathology. The purpose of this study was to determine whether a relationship exists between hip synovial fluid cytokine concentration and clinical outcomes at a minimum of 2 years following h...

Clinical and radiographic outcomes of a trabecular titaniumTM acetabular component in hip arthroplasty: results at minimum 5 years follow-up

Background: Aim of this prospective study was to evaluate mid-term clinical and radiographic outcomes in total hip arthroplasty using an acetabular cup made of an innovative biomaterial, Trabecular TitaniumTM, whose highly porous structure and mechanical properties have been designed to mimic those of the natural bone, thus promoting a more physiological load transfer and a more durable fixatio...
