Post-translational modification by SUMO.
Post-translational modifications (PTMs) are chemical alterations to a protein following translation, regulating stability and function. Reversible phosphorylation is an example of an important and well studied PTM involved in a number of cellular processes. SUMOylation is another PTM known to modify a large number of proteins and plays a role in various cellular processes including: cell cycle ...
متن کاملa comparative move analysis of the introduction sections of ma theses by iranian and native post-graduate students
since esp received universal attention to smooth the path for academic studies and productions, a great deal of research and studies have been directed towards this area. swales’ (1990) model of ra introduction move analysis has served a pioneering role of guiding many relevant studies and has proven to be productive in terms of helpful guidelines that are the outcome of voluminous productions ...
15 صفحه اولGrafting of functional methacrylate polymer brushes by photoinduced SET-LRP†
Photoinduced surface-initiated single electron transfer living radical polymerization (SET-LRP) is a versatile technique for the preparation of polymer brushes. The vast diversity of compatible functional groups, together with a high end-group fidelity that enables precise control of the architecture, makes this approach an effective tool for tuning the properties of surfaces. We report the app...
متن کاملPost-translational modification of cardiac proteasomes: functional delineation enabled by proteomics.
Proteasomes are ubiquitously expressed multicatalytic complexes that serve as key regulators of protein homeostasis. There are several lines of evidence indicating that proteasomes exist in heterogeneous subpopulations in cardiac muscle, differentiated, in part, by post-translational modifications (PTMs). PTMs regulate numerous facets of proteasome function, including catalytic activities, comp...
متن کاملSpecific surface modification of the acetylene-linked glycolipid vesicle by click chemistry.
A novel glycolipid with a terminal acetylene was synthesized and used to prepare unilamellar vesicles. Using these vesicles, a convenient method was developed for the specific modification of the vesicle surface using the photoresponsive copper complex [Cu(OH(2))(cage)] as the catalyst for a click reaction.
