چکیده

This paper examines the impact of fire on microstructural, mechanical, and corrosion behavior wire-arc-sprayed zinc, aluminum, Zn-Al pseudo-alloy coatings. Steel plates coated with these materials were subjected to temperatures in increments 100 °C, starting from 300 °C progressing until failure. Microstructural characterization, microhardness, abrasion resistance, electrochemical impedance studies performed post-fire The findings this study show that heat had a positive performance zinc coatings when they exposed up 400 while aluminum maintain their 600 °C. However, above temperatures, effectiveness was observed decline, due increased high-temperature oxidation, porosity, addition decreased protection performance. Based study, appropriately sealed thermal-spray-coated steel components can be reused after exposure specific temperature depending coating material.

Effect of Carbide Particle Size on the Microstructure, Mechanical properties, and Wear Behavior of HVOF-sprayed WC-17% Co Coatings

This study investigates the effect of carbide particle size on the microstructure, mechanical properties, and abrasive wear resistance of WC-17%Co HVOF-sprayed coatings. The characteristics of WC-1, WC-2, and WC-3 coatings with carbide sizes of 1 µm, 0.9 µm, and 0.5 µm, respectively, were also investigated. WC-1 coating experienced the maximum carbon loss of 42%, while WC-2 and WC-3 coatings un...

EFFECT OF CURRENT DENSITY ON MICROSTRUCTURE AND CORROSION BEHAVIOR OF PURE COBALT COATINGS OBTAINED

Pure cobalt coatings were electrodeposited on copper substrate by means of direct electric current in a chloride solution at different current densities in the range of 10-70 mA cm -2 . The surface morphology and microstructure were investigated via X-ray diffraction analysis and scanning electron microscopy. Corrosion behavior of cobalt coatings was also studied in a 3.5 wt% NaCl soluti...
