Possible origin of extremely large magnetoresistance in the topological insulator CaBi<sub>2</sub> single crystal

Abstract CaBi 2 has been experimentally found to be a superconductor with transition temperature of K and identified as topological insulator via spin- angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy, which makes it possible platform study the interplay between superconductivity topology. But detailed transport properties for single crystal remain unexplored in experiments. Here, we systematically studied magneto-transport grown by flux method. shows magnetic-field-induced upturn behavior plateau resistivity at low temperature. An extremely large non-saturating magnetoresistance up ∼15000% 3 12 T was achieved. The reason magnetic field dependence discussed adopting Kohler’s scaling law, can understood compensation effect confirmed Hall Effect measurement.
