Tolkien’s mythology of Middle-earth is a highly studied corpus in ecology and environmental studies. Due to the cosmogonic nature this mythology, ecological patterns are both similar different our world. Especially terms biodiversity, flora fauna we encounter at centre approaches. Plant biodiversity supports unique habitat formation many regions history mythology. Being interested botany, Tolkien paid particular attention plants’ geographical distribution location broke new ground diversity. In diversity, there also some plants that he invented.
