چکیده
Background Nail-fold capillaroscopy (NFC) is a non-invasive, in vivo diagnostic tool for the assessment of microvasculature proximal nail fold. The comprehensive approach based on four finger each hand excluding thumbs (in total eight fingers are examined) gold standard NFC evaluation and scoring. patient identified to have abnormal nailfold capillaries, if abnormality was present any finger/nailbed. However, this process time consuming not applicable clinical practice. Therefore, question raised can concise smaller number be implemented challenge hypothesis that there may marked variability morphology between different fingers, as abnormalities only seen some but all fingers. Objectives 1. To evaluate comparability (the standard) represented percentage agreement patterns recorded from approach. 2. assess statistical difference comparing score score. Methods This prospective, cross sectional multicenter study. 164 Patients were recruited patients’ cohort included systemic sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic Lupus erythematosus, Behcet’s disease, Sjogren’s syndrome mixed connective tissue diseases. Imaging sessions carried following national [1]. with 200x magnification used capture panoramic videocapillaroscopy images. Images 4-fingers hand, thumbs. For 5 parameters assessed: density, architecture, hemorrhage, neoangiogenesis dimension. Semiquantitative scoring system parameter [2]. Results Considering correct diagnosis using 100%, mean scores middle ring both hands gave pattern 155/164 (94.5%) cases. There no (3.5 + 0.76 [CI 95% 1.918 - 5.082]), when compared 2 which (3.25 2.87 [1.873 4.626], p= 0.18. significant right left Conclusion Examining saving inferior assessment. Concise practice and, meantime, able give an overall picture reflecting real state capillaries. References [1]El Miedany et al. متن کاملClinical Applications of Nailfold Capillaroscopy in Different Rheumatic Diseases
Microvascular involvement in systemic inflammatory diseases has been well known more than one hundred years. Abnormal microangiopathy of nailfold often occurs in systemic rheumatic diseases, especially in scleroderma, Raynaud's phenomenon and related conditions.Nailfold capillaroscopy uses a lens that allows analysis of the capillary morphology and microcirculation of nailfold. Recently, the vi...

Nailfold capillaroscopy (NC) is a non-invasive imaging technique employed to assess the condition of blood capillaries in the nailfold. It is particularly useful for early detection of scleroderma spectrum disorders and evaluation of Raynaud’s phenomenon. While automated approaches to analysing NC images are relatively rare, they are typically based on extraction and analysis of individual capi...
