Port-Alternated Switch-and-Select Optical Switches

چکیده
We propose and demonstrate a port-alternated switch-and-select architecture for planar waveguide-based optical switches. The proposed reduces the number of intersections on path, which leads to both small insertion loss path dependence. an 8 × switch based using silicon photonic platform, exhibits fiber-to-fiber 5.7 dB with crosstalk below -30 dB. discuss scalability switch, including propagation bend losses waveguides.
