چکیده
Purpose This study aims to investigate the relationship between part porosity and mechanical properties of short-fibre reinforced polylactic acid printed via multi-axis material extrusion (MAMEX) establish guidelines for optimal process configurations. Design/methodology/approach Material graphs provide basis studying behaviour. Using correlations found in this study, way improve printing strategies filament can be deducted directly from an analysis print path final influence on performance. Findings Some commercial brands present inherent that weakens behaviour MAMEX components. Originality/value Low-cost allows production components do not anisotropic are mechanically optimised through alignment filaments along with internal stresses. paper also addresses effects deposition resulting proposes improvements reduce residual porosity, thus increasing performance future.

This research is concerned with the mechanical and physical properties of hemp fibre reinforced concrete (HFRC). An experimental program was developed based on the statistical method of fractional factors design. The variables for the experimental study were: 1) mixing method; 2) fibre content by weight; 3) aggregate size; and 4) fibre length. Their effects on the compressive and flexural perfo...

Image Characterization of Carbon Fibre Reinforced Composites
A new methodology to detect fibres orientation in composite materials, using image processing tools is introduced. Several examples with manufacturing defects are studied using RIMAPS technique and the Variogram method. The characterization is made from digitized images of the samples. Combined use of RIMAPS and Variogram analyses identified the orientation of fibres and determined the values o...
متن کاملInvestigation of Parameters Involved in the Production of Aluminum Matrix Composites Using Hot Powder Extrusion
Aluminum matrix composites reinforced with Al2O3 and SiC particles (5 Vol%) were produced using the hot powder extrusion method. Extrusion temperature and extrusion reduction in area were chosen in the range of 500 to 600°C and 90 to 95%, respectively. The physical and mechanical properties of the extruded composites such as density, tensile strength, elongation and microhardness were evaluated...
