چکیده
Shale samples with carbonate interlayers have attracted more and attention in shale oil exploration of lacustrine China, the characterization pore structure wettability these shales are significant to study shale-oil enrichment effective exploitation. In this work, by examining six Shahejie Formation East characteristics characterized means thin section petrography; X-ray diffraction mineralogy; total organic carbon (TOC) analyses; scanning electron microscopy (SEM) imaging; air-liquid contact angle for wettability; as well N 2 physisorption, mercury intrusion porosimetry, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) structure. The results show that main mineral contents (with an average 51.4%) clay minerals (mainly mixed-layer illite-smectite). TOC content is 2.90%, there a strong correlation between dolomite content. addition, obvious layered observed SEM methods. pores below 200 nm ink-bottle shapes obviously smaller than those marine shale, throats mainly 50 nm; however, also some micrometer-sized cracks. droplet measurement shows lipophilic, while moderately hydrophilic, at millimeter observational scales. NMR T2 spectra water- oil-saturated feature three peak characteristics, size-associated can be divided into stages: water-wet (0.01–1 ms), oil-wet (1–40 mixed-wet (>40 ms) terms relaxation time T spectrum. proportion second (P2) dodecane-saturated directly proportional content, relationship P2 composition consistent water-saturated samples.

Nanometer-Scale Pore Characteristics of Lacustrine Shale, Songliao Basin, NE China
In shale, liquid hydrocarbons are accumulated mainly in nanometer-scale pores or fractures, so the pore types and PSDs (pore size distributions) play a major role in the shale oil occurrence (free or absorbed state), amount of oil, and flow features. The pore types and PSDs of marine shale have been well studied; however, research on lacustrine shale is rare, especially for shale in the oil gen...
متن کاملPore Characteristics of the Upper Carboniferous Taiyuan Shale in Liaohe Depression
High pressure mercury, nitrogen adsorption, nano-CT, and scanning electron microscope with energy spectrum analysis were conducted on core shale samples for studying the characteristics of Taiyuan formation in the eastern uplift of Liaohe depression. The research results show that the shale gas reservoir pores are mainly open pores such as the wedge-shape pores and parallel-plate pores. By a ge...
متن کاملPlio-Pleistocene evolution of Bohai Basin (East Asia): demise of Bohai Paleolake and transition to marine environment
The Bohai Basin was transformed to an inner shelf sea hundreds of thousands years ago. This youngest land-sea transition participated in the significant modification of the distribution of fresh water, sediment fluxes and climate in East Asia, and played an important role in the origin of the Asian marginal seas. Here we present the results of a magnetostratigraphic investigation and propose a ...

Results of laboratory tests on specimens produced from subsoil studies were evaluated tocharacterize geotechnical properties of Tabriz Marl. It was concluded that, Tabriz Marl may be considered as a high liquid limit silt or clay (MH & CH). Range of changes of index, physical and mechanical properties of the Tabriz Marl are comparatively vast. Correlation between these properties has been intro...

An 8-month survey was conducted to detect and quantify enteroviruses in Tianjin coastal seawaters of Bohai Bay to assess coastal water quality. Ten water samples were collected from Bohai Bay for the detection and quantification of enteroviruses by conventional reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and SYBR Green real-time quantitative RT-PCR (qRT-PCR). Total viral nucleic ac...
