چکیده

Gums Arabic (GA) and Xanthan (GX) are natural polysaccharides that can be extracted by means for applications, such adsorption of pollutants. Structural modifications as carboxymethylation on bio-adsorbent materials, performed to improve its adsorptive properties. Development polymeric nanoparticles is an economical favorable option the Congo red dye, which has high toxicity resistant traditional removal processes. In this work, it was developed (NPs) GA (NPGA) GX (NPGX) their carboxymethylated forms (NPCMGA NPCMGX) aiming evaluate (CR) dye. NPs sized from 133 1099 nm at average zeta potential -13 mV, suggesting stability absorb dyes. NPGX NPCMGX absorbed a substantially higher amount dye than other NPs. The kinetic studies showed process follow pseudo-second order model, chemisorption control process, isotherm test revealed samples fit Langmuir with homogeneous profile two maximum capacity 182,82 mg/g 757,58 NPGX. These findings indicate Gum used CR in contaminated water wastewater.

Removal of Congo red from aqueous solutions using nano-Chitosan

It is now recognized that adsorption using low-cost adsorbents is an effective and economic method for water decontamination. Chitosan is derived by deacetylation of the naturally occurring biopolymer chitin which is the second most abundant polysaccharide in the world after cellulose. In this study, the capacity of the chitosan nanoparticles was studied for the removal of the anionic Congo red...
