چکیده
Abstract The present research investigates the hydrolytic degradation of ternary blends composed poly(ethylene- co -vinylacetate) (EVA), poly(lactic acid) (PLA), and poly(styrene- -methyl methacrylate)(poly(S- -MMA) (SMMA) (EPS) at a temperature 37 °C pH 7.4, monitoring changes in phosphate buffer solution for 6 months. In addition, mechanical behavior morphology were evaluated from comparison with degraded against probes non-hydrolytically degraded. Likewise, hemolytic properties cytotoxicity estimated to determine their safety if used medical devices. Ternary higher stiff-elongated 30 wt% EVA—69 PLA 1 SMMA prepared by varying mixing time each component. EPS samples presented less than PLA. Blending EVA resulted significant stability throughout time. Biocompatibility tests reported that interaction EVA/PLA/SMMA films mesenchymal stem cells showed no evidence damage metabolism cells; thus, not dangerous. Furthermore, all tested values below 5% hemolysis; hence are classified as non slightly according ASTM F756. Therefore, polymer have potential applications Graphical abstract

متن کاملFabrication of long-period gratings in poly(methyl methacrylate-co-methyl vinyl ketone-co-benzyl methacrylate)-core polymer optical fiber by use of a mercury lamp.
Polymer optical fiber (POF) with a highly photosensitive poly(methyl methacrylate-co-methyl vinyl ketone-co-benzyl methacrylate) core is fabricated. Gratings can be fabricated in the core of a POF with a low-cost mercury lamp. The part of the emission spectrum of the mercury lamp in which the cladding material exhibits photosensitivity is effectively filtered by a 1.5-mm-thick Pyrex glass to en...

The thermal decomposition of 86 % vinyl chloride 14 % vinyl acetate copolymer wasstudied by the conductometry technique in the presence of nitrogen. The kinetics of stability andthermal degradation of vinyl chloride- co- vinyl acetate (PVC- co- PVAc) copolymer withcopper, copper oxide and tricalcium dicitrate (st) were investigated at various temperatures (150-180 oC ) in solution. The rate coe...
متن کاملFabrication and Characterization of Proton Conductive Membranes Based on Poly(methyl methacrylate-co-maleic anhydride)
In this study, proton conductive composite membranes were produced by using a poly(methylmethacrylate-co-maleic anhydride) (P(MMA-co-MAH)) copolymer and phosphotungstic Acid (PWA) as an additive of the proton conductive agent. P(MMA/MAH) 70/30, 50/50, and 30/70 were synthesized using a free radical polymerization reaction. PWA with a concentration of 2% was added to...
