چکیده
Tragopogon L. (Cichorioideae, Lactuceae, Scorzonerinae) is an Old World genus with 150 species. Pollen morphology has proved useful in the systematics of some genera and species Asteraceae as well that its The pollen 24 taxa was investigated detail by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). grain type ranged from suboblate, oblate-spheroidal to prolate-spheroidal equatorial view hexagonal, obtuse-hexagonal hexagonal-angular polar view. In this study separation sections Majores, Profundisulcati, Sosnovsky, Chromopappus, Rubriflori according Flora Iranica presented other Tragopogon. T. jezdianus, porphyrocephalus, rezaiyensis are suggested belong section. results indicate palynological characters valuable for taxonomic applications classification.

pollen morphology of the genus malus (rosaceae)
pollen morphology of some species of the genus malus (rosaceae) was investigatedtaxonomically. all species are characteristic by tricolpate pollens. exine sculpturing is variable but is mostlystriate. however, species may differ in degree of density of ridges and their orientation. the exine patterns inm. trilobata and m. florentina are very similar and were characterized by short and very bran...
متن کاملThe importance of palynology in the taxonomy of genus Silene, based on pollen morphology
In this study, the palynology of 33 species of Silene belonging to 15 sections was investigated to examine the correspondence between palynology, morphological sections and phylogenetic trees. The pollen grains were prepared using the acetolysis method. Quantitative and qualitative micromorphological features of pollens were investigated using light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy....
متن کاملTaxonomic significance of achene morphology in the genus Centaurea L. (Asteraceae)
Achene morphology of 49 taxa of the genus Centaurea L. was studied in terms of 19 different characteristics. On the basis of the variation in these features, some sections, such as sect. Cyanus with hairy hilum, were separated. Despite various differences, C. leuzeoides and C. gilanica were categorized in the section Psephelloideae, a section with lots of character variations within its species...
متن کاملRapid Chromosome Evolution in Recently Formed Polyploids in Tragopogon (Asteraceae)
BACKGROUND Polyploidy, frequently termed "whole genome duplication", is a major force in the evolution of many eukaryotes. Indeed, most angiosperm species have undergone at least one round of polyploidy in their evolutionary history. Despite enormous progress in our understanding of many aspects of polyploidy, we essentially have no information about the role of chromosome divergence in the est...
متن کاملPantoporate pollen in the Asteraceae (Vernonieae)
Pantoporate pollen, which occurs sporadically in the Monocots and Dicots, has now been found in Asteraceae in two apparently related genera of the tribe Vernonieae, Polydora Fenzl and Oocephala H.Rob. Disposition of pores in Polydora seems more asymmetric than in Oocephala. Based on the known relationships within the Vernonieae, some conjectures are made regarding development of the pantoporate...
