Equitable list point arboricity of graphs

A graph G is list point k-arborable if, whenever we are given a k-list assignment L(v) of colors for each vertex v ∈ V(G), we can choose a color c(v) ∈ L(v) for each vertex v so that each color class induces an acyclic subgraph of G, and is equitable list point k-arborable if G is list point k-arborable and each color appears on at most ⌈|V(G)|/k⌉ vertices of G. In this paper, we conjecture tha...

Linear Arboricity and Linear k-Arboricity of Regular Graphs

We find upper bounds on the linear k-arboricity of d-regular graphs using a probabilistic argument. For small k these bounds are new. For large k they blend into the known upper bounds on the linear arboricity of regular graphs.

Characterizations of arboricity of graphs

The aim of this paper is to give several characterizations for the following two classes of graphs: (i) graphs for which adding any l edges produces a graph which is decomposible into k spanning trees and (ii) graphs for which adding some l edges produces a graph which is decomposible into k spanning trees. Introduction and Theorems The concept of decomposing a graph into the minimum number of ...

The Linear Arboricity of Graphs

A linear forest is a forest in which each connected component is a path. The linear arboricity la(G) of a graph G is the minimum number of linear forests whose union is the set of all edges of G. The linear arboricity conjecture asserts that for every simple graph G with maximum degree A = A(G), Although this conjecture received a considerable amount of attention, it has been proved only for A ...

Equitable vertex arboricity of graphs

An equitable (t, k, d)-tree-coloring of a graph G is a coloring to vertices of G such that the sizes of any two color classes differ by at most one and the subgraph induced by each color class is a forest of maximum degree at most k and diameter at most d. The minimum t such that G has an equitable (t′, k, d)-tree-coloring for every t′ ≥ t is called the strong equitable (k, d)-vertex-arboricity...
