Podium Presentation Title: Screw Fixation has Better Outcomes Than Button Fixation for Glenoid Reconstruction: Matched Analysis

چکیده
Arthroscopic anatomic glenoid reconstruction (AAGR) has been described as a technique used to treat shoulder instability with bone loss. The original screw fixation and more recently, using buttons minimize potential subsequent removal. purpose of this study was compare patient reported outcomes incidence recurrence between the two groups. We performed retrospective review on consecutive patients who underwent AAGR button for Patients were matched at 1:1 ratio based sex type surgery (primary or revision stabilization). had pre- two-year post-operative WOSI scores CT scans. Exclusion criteria included rotator cuff pathology, multidirectional fractures. Study comparisons scores, instability, readings. Subpectoral Biceps Tenodesis: Interference Screw and Cortical Button Fixation
Bicep tendon pathology often arises from chronic overuse injuries, acute trauma, or degenerative changes in the glenohumeral joint. These injuries can cause significant shoulder pain, and can greatly limit range of motion and, in turn, activities of daily living. The diagnosis of biceps pathologies can be challenging, because patients often present with nonspecific symptoms. Some bicep tendon p...
متن کاملBioabsorbable screw fixation in coracoclavicular ligament reconstruction.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the biomechanical properties of stainless steel and bioabsorbable screw fixation of the clavicle to the base of the coracoid. Seven matched pairs of fresh frozen shoulders were prepared by removing all soft tissue except the acromioclavicular and coracoclavicular ligament complexes. The shoulders were randomly selected and fixed with 4.5-mm stainless ste...

متن کاملComparison of Acute Acromioclavicular Joint Dislocation Treatment by Screw Fixation with and without Ligament Reconstruction
Background & Aims: Acute acromioclavicular (AC) joint dislocation is common in shoulder injuries. Considering the biomechanics of this joint, the use of a treatment method, which can restore joint physiology and biomechanics to the extent possible, is important. This study aimed to compare the treatment of acute AC joint dislocation by screw fixation with and without ligament reconstruction. Me...
متن کاملOutcomes of ACL Reconstruction With Fixed Versus Variable Loop Button Fixation.
Suspensory femoral fixation of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) grafts with fixed loop button and variable loop button devices has gained popularity for ACL reconstruction. This study examined these 2 methods of fixation to determine their effect on graft laxity and patient-reported outcome scores. A database search was performed to identify patients who had undergone ACL reconstruction with ei...
