Podium Presentation Title: Effect of Capsular Repair on Initial Hip Distraction in Primary Hip Arthroscopy: An In-Vivo Analysis

چکیده
To investigate whether capsular repair restores the initial hip distractive stability at time of arthroscopy. Patients who underwent primary arthroscopy for femoroacetabular impingement between March 2020 and August were prospectively enrolled in study traction protocol. Total joint space was measured on fluoroscopic images medial lateral edges sourcil 12.5 lb. axial intervals (up to 100 lbs) three states: 1) native capsule 2) interportal capsulotomy 3) figure-of-eight repair. Distraction calculated as difference total minus baseline each interval. Fluoroscopic measurements normalized millimetric values with AP radiographs. Wilcoxon signed ranks tests McNemar used compare which hips achieved >3 mm (early distraction) distraction states. Forty-three patients included. Seven distracted <3 state lbs. Median force required distract 75 (95% C.I.: 75-87.5) state. same 75-87.5; p=0.122), while it significantly lower (50 lbs.; 95% 50-75; p<0.001). The percentage maintaining (<3mm or greater interval relative 72.2% 30.6% (p<0.001). Complete closure following results improved compared an unrepaired capsulotomy.

A Simple Technique for Capsular Repair After Hip Arthroscopy.
Capsulotomy is typically performed during arthroscopic treatment for femoroacetabular impingement. As the frequency of hip arthroscopy continues to expand rapidly, increased attention is being paid to the implications of interportal capsulotomy and the need for repair. To minimize the risk of postoperative instability, capsular closure has been recommended to restore the anatomy and biomechanic...
