Pluralism and Democracy in Yugoslavia

چکیده

The present debate in Yugoslavia about "democratization" of the League Communists is a consequence Party's heritage anti-Stalinism, constitutional evolution country, and situation after Tito's death. Nearly two decades ago Praxis group political philosophers were first to criticize absence intraparty democracy, while many these critics silenced, their ideas have re-emerged during economic crisis 1980's. Within League, has touched on its responsibility for public policy, organizational principles, monopoly power. Opposition reform fear change limited practical effect debate, but it continues raise fundamental questions ahout meaning democracy one party system.
