Platelet miRNA Expression in Patients with Sticky Platelet Syndrome
نویسندگان
چکیده
Abstract Sticky platelet syndrome (SPS) is a disorder with familial occurrence and autosomal dominant trait characterized by hyperaggregability in response to low concentration of adenosine diphosphate (ADP) and/or epinephrine (EPI). The etiology SPS may be associated microRNAs (miRNAs), which are considered as potential biomarkers function antiplatelet therapy. We were monitoring the expression miRNAs patients laboratory diagnosed healthy controls. have found statistically significant increased both miR-423-5p miR-338-3p well decreased miR-425-5p between group type II controls, seems an interesting issue for further research.

The sticky platelet syndrome (SPS) is an autosomal dominant platelet disorder associated with arterial and venous thromboembolic events. It is characterized by hyperaggregability of platelets in platelet-rich plasma with adenosine diphosphate (ADP) and epinephrine (type I), epinephrine alone (type II), or ADP alone (type III). Clinically, patients may present with angina pectoris, acute myocard...
متن کاملSticky Platelet Syndrome in Patients with Uninduced Venous Thrombosis
OBJECTIVE Sticky platelet syndrome (SPS) is a common autosomal dominant inherited platelet disorder. SPS is characterized by platelet hyperreactivity and is associated with arterial and venous thrombosis. The aim of this study was to determine the role of SPS in patients with uninduced venous thrombosis. MATERIAL AND METHODS The study included 28 patients (15 male and 13 female) with uninduce...
متن کاملEvaluation of platelet antigens and antibodies in patients with platelet refractoriness
Abstract Background and Objectives Immune platelet refractoriness is a complication of blood transfusion in patients with multiple platelet transfusions. Antibodies against surface antigens, including human platelet antigens (HPAs) and human leukocyte antigens (HLAs), can be produced which can cause the degradation of transfused platelets by macrophages. In this study, the frequency of platele...
متن کاملPlatelet Septic Transfusion Reactions in Patients With Hemato-Oncological Diseases
Background & Objective: Bacterial, contamination of blood components are a significant risk for transfusion reactions. Inherently, platelet concentrates (PCs) are vulnerable to bacterial contamination, due to the storage condition of processed PCs at room temperature, which provide very suitable conditions for the proliferation of microorganisms....
متن کاملPlatelet antigens and antibodies in multitransfused patients
Abstract Background and Objectives Following incompatible blood transfusions, anti-HLA and anti- HPA antibodies may develop and cause various disorders such as post-transfusion purpura, platelet refractoriness, and thrombocytopenia leading to bleeding. The aim of this study was to investigate platelet antigens and antibodies in multi-transfused patients. Materials and Methods In this desc...
