Plate-impact-driven ring expansion test (PIDRET) for dynamic fragmentation

چکیده
A new experimental set-up mounted at the muzzle of a singlestage gas gun has been designed in order to study fragmentation metallic rings under dynamic radial expansion. This concept takes advantage quasi-incompressibility HDPE whose flow plate impact-like loading is used apply pressure boundary condition ring’s inner surface. For configurations considered present work, average strain rate ring reaches values close 10 4 s -1 . The repeatability and reliability experiments are verified for made steel aluminium.

“ Finite Element Simulation of Ring Expansion and Fragmentation ”
The expanding ring test of Grady and Benson [20] is taken as a convenient yet challenging validation problem for assessing the delity of cohesive models in situations involving ductile dynamical fracture. Attention has been rescricted to 1100-0 aluminum samples. Fracture has been modelled by recourse to an irreversible cohesive law embedded into cohesive elements. The nite element model is thre...
متن کامل2-Pyridylnitrene and 3-pyridazylcarbene and their relationship via ring-expansion, ring-opening, ring-contraction, and fragmentation.
Photolysis of triazolo[1,5-b]pyridazine 8 isolated in Ar matrix generates diazomethylpyridazines 9Z and 9E and diazopentenynes 11Z and 11E as detected by IR spectroscopy. ESR spectroscopy detected the 3-pydidazylcarbene 10 as well as pent-2-en-3-yn-1-ylidene 12 formed by loss of one and two molecules of N(2), respectively. Further photolysis caused rearrangement of the carbenes to 1,2-pentadien...
متن کاملMolecular fragmentation driven by ultrafast dynamic ionic resonances.
The authors time resolve molecular motion in bound state, ionic potentials that leads to bond cleavage during the interaction with intense, ultrafast laser fields. Resonances in molecular ions play an important role in dissociative ionization with ultrafast laser fields, and the authors demonstrate how these resonances evolve in time to produce dissociation after initial strong-field ionization...

Abstract Background and objectives: "The comb antibiotic sensitivity test" is a quick, reliable and cost effective method to determine the susceptibility of bacteria to different antibiotics. The purpose of this study is to design a plate that is easy and quick to use, and enable to be interpreted easily without the need for measurement of the margins with a ruler. Material and Method...
