PLANTING DATES AFFECTS ON SEED COTTON YIELD AND CONTRIBUTED CHARACTERS OF COTTON ADVANCE LINES UNDER CHANGING CLIMATIC CONDITIONS OF TANDOJAM, SINDH PAKISTAN

Cotton crop is an imperative role in Pakistan’s economy. It faces several environmental situations which check its growth and production. Climate changes bring a head new pressure for cotton cultivation the Pakistan especially Sindh province. The present study was carried out at Nuclear Institute of Agriculture (NIA), Tandojam 2021. Four advance lines NIA-88, M-32, NIA-Bt. 89 NIA-Bt.90 along with two local varieties IUB-2013 CRIS-121 were evaluated under planting dates viz. 1st April May having three replicates randomized complete block design factorial arrangements. data depicted that sown on produced more seed yield (2855.5 kg ha-1) than (1674.4 ha-1). Comparing average varietal performance both sowing dates, NIA-88 maximum (2339.2 while minimum (2137.2 exhibited by variety CRIS-121. Boll retention % (44%) line NIA-88. number bolls plant-1 (42.0), sympodial branches (26.0), ginning turn percentage index (8.1g) staple length (29.0mm) respectively obtained date plant-1, percentage, (33.0), (15.0), (36.3), (6.0g) (27.0mm) took crop. Associating plant-1(44.0), (23.0), (40.4), (9.0g) respectively. results indicated genotypes influenced associated traits current changing climate scenario
