چکیده

Legumes, native to the Mediterranean, harbor reservoirs of endophytes that help plants adapt various environmental stresses. The current study was carried out evaluate plant growth characteristics and antifungal activity root nodule as biocontrol agents promoters. Eleven bacterial isolated from nodules Sulla flexuosa L. grown in Northwest Morocco were assessed for their growth-promoting (PGP), properties. Four endophytic bacteria selected efficiency solubilizing inorganic phosphate. strains positive more than 2 PGP traits, including indole acetic acid, ACC deaminase, siderophore, ammonia production. screening lytic enzyme production revealed all capable producing chitinase, cellulase, catalase, protease, while secretion amylase urease not detected. HFB11 only strain incapable pectinase. In vitro experiments strains’ potential withstand salt drought stresses by being able grow high concentrations NaCl PEG. Based on 16S rRNA gene sequencing, identified Enterobacter Serratia. antagonistic against Botrytis cinerea, Aspergillus ochraceus, Fusarium oxysporum detected they shown inhibit fungal with percentages. highest percentage inhibition observed HFB3 B. cinerea 50% followed HFB8 which 47% F. oxysporum’s growth. contrast, a weak A. ochraceus. All these findings indicate chosen endophytes, halotolerant Serratia inhibens hormaechei HFB11, might be used candidates effective promotion legumes.

evaluation of phenotypic and growth promotion characteristics of rhizobia isolated from soybean root nodules

background and objectives: nitrogen fixation is a biological process, which provides atmospheric nitrogen in usable form for plants, and satisfies the plants n requirement and can replace chemical fertilizers in high proportion. on the other hand, calcareous and high ph soils have usually small amounts of nutrients in available forms and use of plant growth promoting rhizobacteria can increase ...

Biocontrol of Fusarium Crown and Root Rot and Promotion of Growth of Tomato by Paenibacillus Strains Isolated from Soil

In this study, bacterial strains were isolated from soils from 30 locations of Samcheok, Gangwon province. Of the isolated strains, seven showed potential plant growth promoting and antagonistic activities. Based on cultural and morphological characterization, and 16S rRNA gene sequencing, these strains were identified as Paenibacillus species. All seven strains produced ammonia, cellulase, hyd...

Plant growth-promoting activities for bacterial and fungal endophytes isolated from medicinal plant of Teucrium polium L.

Bacterial and fungal endophytes are widespread inhabitants inside plant tissues and have been shown to assist plant growth and health. However, little is known about plant growth-promoting endophytes (PGPE) of medicinal plants. Therefore, the aims of this study were to identify bacterial and fungal endophytes of Teucrium polium and to characterize plant growth-promoting (PGP) properties of thes...

Bioproduction of Indole Acetic Acid by Rhizobium Strains Isolated from Root Nodules of Green Manure Crop, Sesbania sesban (L.) Merr.

Twenty six Rhizobium strains were isolated from root nodules of Sesbania sesban (L.) Merr. collected from different regions of Andhra Pradesh. All the 26 Rhizobium strains produced indole acetic acid (IAA), but maximum amount was produced by only five strains in yeast extract mannitol  (YEM) medium supplemented with L-tryptophan. The strains were found to elaborate maximum IAA when fed with 2.5...
