PLANT-DERIVED CHEMOTHERAPEUTICS DRUGS FOR CANCER CHEMOTHERAPY

Cancer chemotherapeutic drugs acts in different manner to kill malignant cells. Most of the anticancer available clinical practice treat cancer patients, are natural products including whole plant extract, crude extracts, isolated constituents, –based drug formulations etc. These compounds have been a basis for development several against cancer. Agents such as topotecan, taxol, vinca alkaloids (vincristine, vinblastine, vinorelbine and vindesine), important agents widespread use. Other agents, combretastatin, flavopiridol, betulinic acid were shown anti-tumor effects both vitro vivo experiments.
 In this review, we aim make brief description classical plant-derived chemotherapeutics also highlight importance these new potential treatment.
