چکیده
The thoracic epidural analgesia (TEA) remains the standard gold for analgesic support in surgery, there is an interesting alternative to analgesia, which paravertebral block (PVB). aim our study was assess value of performing a PVB management postoperative pain surgery compared TEA. Methods: 80 patients were randomized receive either (n = 38, 10 cc bupivacaine 0.5% + ϒ Sufentanyl then Bupivacain 0.1% via PCA device) or loss resistance technique 40, device). All received general anesthesia. peri-operative parameters studied include measurement, EVA scale at rest and mobilization, use morphinics. Results: significant difference between two groups incidents puncture significantly more important APDT group. assessment by did not show TEA Conclusion: comparison TPDA find efficacy side effects. BPV could be proposed as first intention surgery.

An appropriate post operative analgesia after thoracotomies is mandatory to improve the patient's outcome, reduce complications rate, morbidity, hospital cost and length of stay. In this paper we review the evidences regarding the use of paravertebral block for thoracic surgery. In particular we examine the effect of paravertebral block compared to the other technique in four major issues: anal...

Paravertebral block; Pectoral nerve block; Breast surgery Abstract Background: Pectoral nerve block (Pecs) is a novel interfascial plane block which can provide analgesia after breast surgery while paravertebral block (PVB) is widely used for this purpose. We evaluated the difference between the two techniques in regard to morphine consumption and analgesic efficacy after modified radical maste...
