Pipeline Risk Assessment Using GIS

Long-distance energy pipelines are subject to risks of repeated hazards and posing pipeline safety problems. Hazards that may attack the environmental human activities. In this study, on were assessed using Geographic Information System (GIS) as research risk assessment GIS is quite limited. Satellites help monitor from space. The study spatially analyzes a encounters Kurdistan oil Taq field Peshkhabur was used case study. Six criteria including distance cities villages, rivers, roads, slopes, temperature in cold hot weather considered. Weight given each criterion; maximum 37.5% for activities minimum weight 12.5% slope. calculations carried out rather than through statistical operations. Three sets maps obtained criterion with different units. Then overlayed represent single map units standardized Fuzzy membership. results show level along 270 km length national pipeline.
