چکیده
Phytoplankton are considered to be one of the most sensitive indicators ecological status lakes. Nowadays, it is essential recognize prospects molecular approach (eDNA metabarcoding) in phytoplankton community assessments and combine them with existing traditional microscopy-based morphological before its standardization. In this study, aim was characterize a natural karstic lake by combining comparing check applicability eDNA metabarcoding as biomonitoring tool. A total 51 taxa were found using approach, whilst discovered 97 ASVs that corresponded algal community. The comparability both approaches describing communities evident designation centric diatoms, dinoflagellates cryptophytes descriptive taxa. Furthermore, proved reliable detecting functional groups (Lo, C, X2, X3) similar demands. Moreover, results have shown euphotic zone samples can reliably exchanged composite provide an accurate characterization zone. It confirmed applicable tool for biodiversity monitoring karst should used feasible supplement microscopy assessments, regards drawbacks each method.

Microscopical and molecular analyses were used to investigate the diversity and spatial community structure of spring phytoplankton all along the estuarine gradient in a macrotidal ecosystem, the Baie des Veys (eastern English Channel). Taxa distribution at high tide in the water column appeared to be mainly driven by the tidal force which superimposed on the natural salinity gradient, resultin...
متن کاملMorphological and molecular diversity of Lake Baikal candonid ostracods, with description of a new genus
Uncoupling between molecular and morphological evolution is common in many animal and plant lineages. This is especially frequent among groups living in ancient deep lakes, because these ecosystems promote rapid morphological diversification, and has already been demonstrated for Tanganyika cychlid fishes and Baikal amphipods. Ostracods are also very diverse in these ecosystems, with 107 candon...
متن کاملMolecular profiling of soil animal diversity in natural ecosystems: Incongruence of molecular and morphological results
A major problem facing ecologists is obtaining a complete picture of the highly complex soil community. While DNA-based methods are routinely used to assess prokaryote community structure and diversity in soil, approaches for measuring the total faunal community are not yet available. This is due to difficulties such as designing primers specific to a range of soil animals while excluding other...

متن کاملMolecular and morphological diversity of pezizalean ectomycorrhiza.
A growing body of molecular research is discovering a high diversity of pezizalean ectomycorrhiza (EcM), yet most remain unidentified at the genus or species level. This study describes EcM-forming taxa within the Pezizales. EcM-forming Pezizales were revealed by morphotyping and sequencing of EcM root tips from forests in Estonia and Denmark. The taxa on EcM root tips were identified using phy...
