Now a day’s many herbs and plants their species consumed as food in our daily life because of its effectiveness preventive nature towards health. The Phoenix dactylifera Linn. is most common plant usually known date palm, belonging to the family Arecaceae. It native North Africa, South- West Asia considered an oldest plant. palm well for traditional medicinal value. active phytoconstituents reported fruits are alkaloids, tannins, glycosides, flavonoids, steroids, terpenoids, carotenoids also rich source vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates proteins. From existing literature survey number pharmacological activities like analgesic, anti-inflammatory, hepatoprotective, anticancer, antioxidant, anti-proliferative, antifungal antibacterial activity.
