Poria is a common Traditional Chinese Medicine in clinic. In recent years, the chemical and pharmacological studies of have made great progress, triterpenes polysaccharides been isolated, various types compounds containing lipids, octanoic acids, fatty trace elements found. this paper, we reviewed literature, summarized main compound types, detail their effects antitumor, immunomodulatory, on kidney, hepatoprotective activity, blood sugar, antioxidant effects, anti-inflammatory gut, antidepressant, so on, also categorized with same or similar to provide reference for in-depth study material basis effect, quality standards, activity Poria.
