Physicochemical Analysis and Wound Healing Activity of Azadirachta indica (A. Juss) Fruits

(1) Background: The neem tree, Azadirachta indica (A. Juss), is a well-known species used in traditional medicine for the treatment of skin conditions such as irritation, eczema, burns, and wounds. objective current study was to investigate physicochemical wound-healing properties A. fruits. (2) Methods: Gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (GC-MS) determine content fatty acids phytosterols, high-performance liquid (HPLC) tocopherol content. activity observed on backs six adult male rabbits. (3) Results: results showed that plant contained acids, well oleic (46.05%), palmitic (23.94%), linoleic (11.39%), stearic (7.87%) acids. phytosterols were three major compounds; decreasing order importance, they β-sitosterol (97.26 mg/100 g), campesterol (18.94 stigmasterol (12.05 g). There also traces cholesterol. moderate source vitamin E (α-tocopherol, 14.86 hexane extracts no acute toxicity low eye irritability had reasonable safety important activity. (4) Conclusions: confirmed valuable efficient process wound healing.
