Physico-Mechanical Properties of a Newly Developed Base Material Containing Mineral Trioxide Aggregate

The aim of this study was to evaluate the physico-mechanical properties a new cavity base material containing mineral trioxide aggregate, LA-T1, prototyped by Neo Dental Chemical Products for indirect restoration. Three materials, Cavios (CAV, Products), and Bulk Base Hard (BBH, Sun Medical), were examined. depth cure, microshear bond strength with resin-based luting cement, compressive these materials investigated. cure LA-T1 similar that CAV, while BBH above measurement limit. distance from light source, 0 mm 4 mm, did not significantly affect all materials. bonded cement slightly higher than CAV BBH, both which same under conditions. but less BBH. results indicate has are those thus can be clinically applied.
