چکیده
The purpose of this study was to assess the physical and mechanical properties pavement concrete for rural roads South Korea made with air-cooled slag aggregate, which is an industrial byproduct. This assessed chemical according following performance requirements based on design criteria Ministry Agriculture’s Agricultural Production Infrastructure Maintenance Business Plan Expressway Corporation’s Highway Construction Specialized Specifications: slump 80 mm or greater, air content 4.5 ± 1.5%, compressive strength at least 21 MPa, splitting tensile 4.2 a chloride penetration resistance less than 4000 C. slump, content, strength, flexural ion permeability aggregate-containing concretes were measured. aggregates provided necessary presented no environmental issues. Furthermore, met target values. decreased increased increasing amounts aggregate. Mechanical testing containing aggregate established that they road pavement.

Technical Effects of Air Cooled Blast Furnace Slag on Asphalt Mixtures
Air cooled blast furnace slag is a by product made of gradually air cooled molten blast furnace slag and is often stored in stockpiles near the iron mills and usually occupy a wide area around the iron mills. From this perspective the further use of these materials can have its own merits. Air cooled blast furnace slag can be used in asphalt mixtures because of their proper frictional propertie...

1. Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBFS) is a by product of the steel industry. Blast furnace slag is defined as “the non-metallic product consisting essentially of calcium silicates and other bases that is developed in a molten condition simultaneously with iron in a blast furnace.” [1] In the production of iron, blast furnaces are loaded with iron o...
متن کاملProperties of Foamed Mortar Prepared with Granulated Blast-Furnace Slag
Foamed mortar with a density of 1300 kg/m³ was prepared. In the initial laboratory trials, water-to-cement (w/c) ratios ranging from 0.54 to 0.64 were tested to determine the optimal value for foamed mortar corresponding to the highest compressive strength without compromising its fresh state properties. With the obtained optimal w/c ratio of 0.56, two types of foamed mortar were prepared, name...
