چکیده
A matrix of 117 morphological characters scored for 77 terminal taxa was subjected to parsimony analysis under equal and implied weighting schemes Bayesian inference in order test the relationships between Stephanopis Sidymella species, as well its implications systematics subfamily Stephanopinae. sensitivity performed evaluate nodal stability. Our results indicate polyphyletism both genera topologies obtained allowed proposition following taxonomic acts: The “altifrons clade” is only group considered (stricto sensu), with species restricted Australian region; most from Neotropical region, hitherto attributed this genus, formed well-supported “pentacantha clade”, while two them, Central America, were recovered “championi clade”. latter shows significative evidences revalidation Paratobias gen. rev.; “cambridgei emerged I. punctata nested within, having all component transferred Isala. None distribution seems be part which occurs fact region closely related Coenypha. This has an increment three Stephanopis. Aside “lucida here other groups a single apart genus: “hirsuta “trapezia “angularis Si. rubrosignata. Morphological seem justify these new genera.

According to current catalogues, two species are allocated to the genus Parastephanops F. O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1900. The examination of the type of Parastephanops cognatus (O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1892) (type-species of Parastephanops) has revealed the presence of a high cephalic region, legs with dark metatarsus and apex of tibia, and triangular epigynum with median ridge, all diagnostic featur...
متن کاملTaxonomic notes on the crab spider genus Tobias Simon, 1895 (Araneae, Thomisidae, Stephanopinae).
The males of Tobias caudatus Mello-Leitão, 1929 and Tobias pustulosus Simon, 1929 are described for the first time, females are redescribed and both sexes are illustrated. New distribution records are presented for both species. Tobias monstruosus Mello-Leitão, 1929 is considered a junior synonym of T. pustulosus. The types of Tobias albovittatus Caporiacco, 1954, and Tobias gradiens Mello-Leit...
متن کاملPhylogenetic relationships of Culex (Culex) species (Diptera, Culicidae) from Argentina based on morphological characters.
The purpose of this study was for the first time to establish phylogenetic hypotheses among Culex (Culex) species from Argentina, and to evaluate the relationships of this subgenus with subgenera Phenacomyia and Phytotelmatomyia. We employed maximum parsimony to analyse morphological characters derived from the morphology of the adult, pupal and larval stages. More than 30 figures, including ph...
متن کاملPhylogenetic relationships within the Pylochelidae (Decapoda: Anomura: Paguroidea): A cladistic analysis based on morphological characters
Phylogenetic relationships within the “symmetrical” hermit crab family Pylochelidae were analyzed for 41 of the 45 species and subspecies currently considered valid. In the analyses, 78 morphological characters comprised the data matrix and the outgroup consisted of Thalassina anomala, a member of the Thalassinidae, and Munida quadrispina, a member of the Galatheidae. A poorly resolved strict c...
