چکیده
Aggregation of the nanoparticles is a natural phenomena due to various biological and physical parameters but these aggregates are highly unstable. If would have been stable then it might be useful for some biomedical applications. To study optical properties photothermal heat generation metal nanopartilces, we present forced synthesis small gold nanorods in mixture Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's medium (DMEM) Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA). We synthesised hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) coated prepared characteristics aggregates. Absorption spectra show redshift compared monodispersive confirm that shape size aggregate depend on amount BSA DMEM as well concentration CTAB stock solution suspension. The higher lower nanorod suspension causes greater redshift. tuned defined plasmonic absorption resonance peaks up second therapeutic window. studied stability one week found were atleast week. Development of functional gold nanorods for bioimaging and photothermal therapy
Gold nanorods have strong surface plasmon band at near-infrared light region, and are used as a photothermal converter. Since the near-infrared light penetrates into tissues deeply, it has been expected as a contrast agent for near infrared light bioimaging, a photosensitizer for photothermal therapy, and functional device for drug delivery system responding to near-infrared light irradiation. ...

Recent studies have highlighted the overexpression of mucin 1 (MUC1) in various epithelial carcinomas and its role in tumorigenesis. These mucins present a novel targeting opportunity for nanoparticle-mediated photothermal cancer treatments due to their unique antenna-like extracellular extension. In this study, MUC1 antibodies and albumin were immobilized onto the surface of gold nanorods usin...
متن کاملGold nanorods as contrast agents for biological imaging: optical properties, surface conjugation and photothermal effects.
Gold nanorods (NRs) have plasmon-resonant absorption and scattering in the near-infrared (NIR) region, making them attractive probes for in vitro and in vivo imaging. In the cellular environment, NRs can provide scattering contrast for darkfield microscopy, or emit a strong two-photon luminescence due to plasmon-enhanced two-photon absorption. NRs have also been employed in biomedical imaging m...

Gold nanorods can be internalized by macrophages (an important early cellular marker in atherosclerosis and cancer) and used as an imaging contrast agent for macrophage targeting. Objective of this study is to compare two-photon luminescence (TPL) properties of four aspect ratios of gold nanorods with surface plasmon resonance at 700, 756, 844 and 1060 nm respectively. TPL from single nanorods ...
