Photocatalytic H2O2 Generation Using Au-Ag Bimetallic Alloy Nanoparticles loaded on ZnO

Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is an important chemical as it environmentally friendly oxidant for organic synthesis and environmental remediation well a promising candidate the liquid fuel. Photocatalytic generation of H2O2 sustainable, many efforts have been put into development new catalysts to gain high yields. In this investigation, Au/ZnO, Ag/ZnO Au-Ag/ZnO were prepared by simultaneous impregnation HAuCl4 AgNO3 they used generate from methanol/O2 system. It was demonstrated that Au/ZnO had best performance at generating H2O2. The presence Au on ZnO accelerated facilitated adsorption onto catalyst surface, which resulted in reaction kinetics changing zero-order first-order. Ag atoms unstable would strip surface during irradiation, decreasing yield stabilization depended ratio Ag. Au0.1Ag0.2/ZnO stable showed promoted formation decomposition peroxide, simultaneously.
