چکیده
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate phonological error patterns from multisyllable words in subgroups speech sound disorders (SSDs) classified by linguistic symptomatology, and examine whether underlying deficits each subgroup SSDs could be identified through patterns. Methods: 2-5-syllable words, which a total 120 children with 3 years 9 11 months produced, were analyzed; determined. Phonological categorized into whole word patterns, segmental (consonants vowels), distortion as well developmental non-developmental Statistical analyses performed determine the show differences occurrence ratio category. Results: Children articulation showed relatively higher distortions compared other subgroups, confirms that are related motoric level. inconsistent characterized may indicate their sequencing difficulties. consistent or reflect weakness representations. Conclusion: This supported position pattern analysis allow us know processing levels ultimately understand SSDs.

PURPOSE To determine if speech error patterns in preschoolers with speech sound disorders (SSDs) predict articulation and phonological awareness (PA) outcomes almost 4 years later. METHOD Twenty-five children with histories of preschool SSDs (and normal receptive language) were tested at an average age of 4;6 (years;months) and were followed up at age 8;3. The frequency of occurrence of presc...

PURPOSE The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships among variables that may contribute to poor phonological awareness (PA) skills in preschool-aged children with speech sound disorders (SSD). METHOD Ninety-five 4- and 5-year-old children with SSD were assessed during the spring of their prekindergarten year. Linear structural equation modeling was used to compare the fit of 2 ...

Objective: The relationship between phonological awareness and phonological disorders has been considered in recent decades. Phonological awareness deficits in children with phonological disorders could be due to a deficit in phonological abilities. The present study attempts to study the phonological awareness deficits in children with phonological disorders. Materials & Methods: This was ...
متن کاملPhonological processing in children with speech disorders
This study investigates the output phonological processing of children with phonological disorder and delay and asks whether different processing deficits underlie different speech disorders. The study compares the speech errors of two groups of children on four tasks: naming, repetition of sentence, repetition of non-words and words. These tasks arguably tap different levels of output processi...
