چکیده

Many fungal pathogens are associated with grapevine trunk diseases (GTDs), which cause important yield and economic losses in grape production. There no effective control methods against GTDs once plants infected, so research is aimed at preventive measures to avoid infections nurseries vineyards. Inhibitory activities of the phenolic compounds eugenol, epigallocatechin–3–O–gallate (EGCG) thymol GTD fungi Diplodia seriata, Eutypa lata, Fomitiporia mediterranea Neofusicoccum parvum were assessed vitro, planta as pruning wound treatments. Greatest inhibition pathogen mycelium growth was observed eugenol (fungistatic 1,500 µg mL–1, fungicidal 2,500 mL–1). No inhibitory activity EGCG. Minimum concentrations vitro effects on D. seriata N. spore germination 360 mL–1 for 750 eugenol. In protection tests, but not.

Defense Responses in Grapevine (cv. Mourvèdre) after Inoculation with the Botryosphaeria Dieback Pathogens Neofusicoccum parvum and Diplodia seriata and Their Relationship with Flowering

As a result of the increasing economic impact of grapevine trunk diseases on viticulture worldwide, efficient and viable control strategies are urgently needed. However, understanding both plant-pathogen interactions and plant physiological changes related to these diseases is fundamental to such an achievement. In this study, we analyzed the effect of inoculation with the Botryosphaeria diebac...

characterization of diplodia seriata and neofusicoccum parvum associated with grapevine decline in iran

during 2004-2007, a field survey was conducted in different vineyards to determine the fungal pathogens associated with grapevine decline in different provinces of iran including fars, hamedan, isfahan, and kohgiluyeh and boirahmad. twenty-seven isolates of botryosphaeriaceae were recovered from vines showing decline and dieback symptoms only in fars province. based on morphological and cultural ...

Flowering as the Most Highly Sensitive Period of Grapevine (Vitis vinifera L. cv Mourvèdre) to the Botryosphaeria Dieback Agents Neofusicoccum parvum and Diplodia seriata Infection

Botryosphaeria dieback is a fungal grapevine trunk disease that currently represents a threat for viticulture worldwide because of the important economical losses due to reduced yield of affected plants and their premature death. Neofusicoccum parvum and Diplodia seriata are among the causal agents. Vine green stems were artificially infected with N. parvum or D. seriata at the onset of three d...

Fungal trunk pathogens associated with wood decay of almond trees on Mallorca (Spain)

Severe decline of almond trees has recently been observed in several orchards on the island of Mallorca (Balearic Islands, western Mediterranean Sea). However, the identity of the causal agents has not yet been investigated. Between August 2008 and June 2010, wood samples from branches of almond trees showing internal necroses and brown to black vascular streaking were collected in the Llevant ...

PCR assays that identify the grapevine dieback fungus Eutypa lata.

Eutypa lata is the causal fungal agent of Eutypa dieback, a serious grapevine necrotic disease. The erratic and delayed (1 to 2 months) appearance of characteristic conidia on culture media and the presence of numerous microorganisms in decaying wood make it difficult either to identify or to detect E. lata in grapevine wood samples. We designed six pairs of PCR primers for diagnosis of E. lata...
