Phase transitions Co-C nanocomposite at heating

چکیده
Differential scanning calorimetry was used to study the Co-C nanocomposite, which is an array of ultrathin carbon nanocages encapsulated cobalt nanoparticles. The activation energy α-> β transformation nanocomposite and value its endothermic effect have been estimated. Thermal much greater than those values that correspond observation conditions for α->β transformations in massive samples. idea put forward transitional assumed by a non-diffusion, mechanism. Keywords: phase transitions, nanocages, cobalt, energy.

Phase Transitions at Preheating
Symmetry restoration processes during the non-equilibrium stage of “preheating” after inflation is studied. It is shown that symmetry restoration is very efficient when the majority of created particles are concentrated at energies much smaller than the temperature T in equilibrium. The strength of symmetry restoration measured in terms of the equivalent temperature can exceed T by many orders ...
متن کاملPhase Transitions During Continuous Heating of Martensitic CuAlMn Alloys
Phase transitions in CuAlMn alloys containing up to 12 at% Mn and 27 at% A1 continuously heated up to 5500C were studied using differential scanning calorimetry and transmission electron microscopy. Alloys containing less than 4.8 at% Mn exhibit an exothermal heat effect in the range 280 380°C due to y2 precipitation. The additional endothermal peak above 5000C is caused by DO3 disordering. All...
متن کاملInterstellar Phase Transitions Stimulated by Time-dependent Heating
We use three-dimensional hydrodynamic numerical simulations to study phase transformations occurring in a clumpy interstellar gas exposed to time-dependent volumetric heating. To mimic conditions in the Galactic interstellar medium, we take a numerical model of a turbulent multiphase medium from Kritsuk & Norman (2002) computed in a periodic box with mean density n0 = 0.25 cm−3 and mean pressur...
متن کاملStudies of Structural Patterns at Phase Transitions
The work described in this thesis comprises two distinct components. In the first part, Monte-Carlo computer simulation methods are employed within a finite-size scaling framework to investigate both universal and non-universal behaviour in two scalar models, the 1-d 04 model and the 2-d Lennard-Jones fluid. In both these models the properties of interest are obtained from studies of the large-...
متن کاملThermal fluctuations at second order phase transitions
We construct a new coarse-grained effective potential which enables us to estimate the probabilities of thermal fluctuations above an arbitrary threshold at different length scales.
