Phase transition of an open quantum walk
نویسندگان
چکیده
It has been discovered that open quantum walks diffusively distribute in space, since they were introduced 2012. Indeed, some limit distributions have demonstrated and most of them are described by Gaussian distributions. We operate an walk on $\mathbb{Z}=\left\{0, \pm 1, 2,\ldots\right\}$ with parameterized operations this paper, study its 1st 2nd moments so we find standard deviation. The deviation tells us whether the walker shows diffusive or ballistic behavior, which results a phase transition walker.

Quantum Phase Transition in an Ion Trap
English This thesis considers the interaction between N ions confined in an ion trap and a set of laser fields, described by the Dicke model. The Dicke Hamiltonian for the two different models, used by the research group at the University of Innsbruck (the Quantum Optics and Spectroscopy group) and the Quantum Optics group at the National Institute of Science and Technology in Boulder, Colorado...
متن کاملAn Uncertainty-based Transition from Open Pit to Underground Mining
There are some large scale orebodies that extend from surface to the extreme depths of the ground. Such orebodies should be extracted by a combination of surface and underground mining methods. Economically, it is highly important to know the limit of upper and lower mining activities. This concern leads the mine designers to the transition problem, which is one of the most complicated problems...
متن کاملQuantum phase transition in quantum dot trimers
We investigate a system of three tunnel-coupled semiconductor quantum dots in a triangular geometry, one of which is connected to a metallic lead, in the regime where each dot is essentially singly occupied. Both ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic spin2 Kondo regimes, separated by a quantum phase transition, are shown to arise on tuning the interdot tunnel couplings and should be accessible ex...
متن کاملPhase Transition in Quantum Gravity
A fundamental problem with attempting to quantize general relativity is its perturbative non-renormalizability. However, this fact does not rule out the possibility that non-perturbative effects can be computed, at least in some approximation. We outline a quantum field theory calculation, based on general relativity as the classical theory, which implies a phase transition in quantum gravity. ...
متن کاملPressure-driven Quantum Phase Transition
The zero-temperature quantum phase transition (QPT) is driven by quantum fluctuations, in contrast to the more familiar finite temperature transitions driven by thermal fluctuations. This paper demonstrates our work on two kinds of QPTs in two different materials, respectively. The first work focuses on the pressure-driven antiferromagnetic QPT in pure chromium which is a model system for study...
