چکیده

The review contains information o; n the properties of phase-change materials (PCM) and possibilities their use as basis thermal energy storage. Special attention is given to PCMs with a phase transition temperature ranging between 20 80 °C since such can be effectively used reduce variations in residential industrial rooms. Thus, application construction industry enables one considerably power consumption negative environmental impact facilities. Thermophysical characteristics main types are presented. heat balance for room walls made PCM-added estimated. calculations demonstrate that structures stabilize practical applications result usage materials. accumulator on PCM proposed analyzed. Thermal Transport in Phase Change Memory Materials

Phase change memory uses brief pulses of electrical current to induce phase transitions in chalcogenide material regions with dimensions near or even far below 50 nm. The strongly differing electrical conductivities of the crystalline and amorphous phases allow data storage at densities in excess of terabits per square inch. Nanoscale conduction heat transfer governs the figures of merit in the...

Thermal Management Using “ Dry ” Phase Change Materials

The thermal response characteristic of a hybrid cooler that is charged with a “dry” solid-solid phase change compound is evaluated. A mathematical model that simulates the performance of a cooler/heat storage unit is formulated. A prototype heat sink that incorporates heat storage using a “dry” PCM is tested, and used to benchmark the simulation model. Different heating and cooling strategies a...

Enhanced thermal conductivity of form-stable phase change composite with single-walled carbon nanotubes for thermal energy storage

A striking contrast in the thermal conductivities of polyethylene glycol (PEG)/diatomite form-stable phase change composite (fs-PCC) with single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNs) as nano-additive has been reported in our present study. Compared to the pure PEG, the thermal conductivity of the prepared fs-PCC has increased from 0.24 W/mK to 0.87 W/Mk with a small SWCNs loading of 2 wt%. SWCNs are ...

Thermal Peak Management Using Organic Phase Change Materials for Latent Heat Storage in Electronic Applications

Modern high power electronics devices consists of a large amount of integrated circuits for switching and supply applications. Beside the benefits, the technology exhibits the problem of an ever increasing power density. Nowadays, heat sinks that are directly mounted on a device, are used to reduce the on-chip temperature and dissipate the thermal energy to the environment. This paper presents ...

Numerical Investigations of Heat Transfer in Phase Change Materials (pcms) Using Non-thermal Equilibrium Model

Phase change materials (PCMs) are drawing increasing attention of researchers nowadays, and they play a pivotal role in thermal energy storage (TES) used in renewable energy resources applications, since these renewable energy, such as solar energy, wind energy and tidal energy, are intermittent and not available at any time. However, most of PCMs suffer from low thermal conductivities prolongi...
