چکیده
Plants have served human beings as a natural source for treatments and therapies from ancient times, amongst them medicinal herbs gain attention because of its wide use less side effects. In the recent years plant research has increased throughout world huge amount evidences been collected to show immense potential plants used in various traditional systems. The objective this study was investigate pharmacognostical, phytochemical features anthelmintic action Cassia roxburghii (seeds) Boerhaavia diffusa (roots). different pharmacognostical parameters were evaluated per standard protocols with some modifications. Qualitative analysis constituents determined by well-known test protocol available literature. Phytochemical revealed presence alkaloids, glycosides, flavonoids, steroids, saponins, triterpenoits carbohydrate. Three doses (10, 25, & 50 mg/ml) each extracts studied, which involves determination time paralysis death worm. All showed dose dependent increase action. Out all extracts, methanol highest activity both followed ethyl aqueous extracts. At concentration mg/ml remarkable even greater than drug (Albendazole) at same concentration.
Keywords: roxburghii, diffusa, Pheretima posthuma, Anthelmintic action, Paralysis, Albendazole.
