Person–organisation fit, job satisfaction and intention to leave in the South African social development sector

Background: The South African public service sector continues to lose employees due more favourable working conditions offered by organisations in the private sector. Understanding intention leave (ITL) can help mangers and leaders retain their highly skilled high performing staff.Aim: aim of study was determine direct indirect relationships between person–organisation fit (POF), job satisfaction (JS) ITL social development (SDS).Setting: sample used this drawn from SDS Africa (n = 100).Methods: Cross-sectional survey data were analysed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences 27. Hayes PROCESS macro test mediating effect JS relationship POF ITL.Results: Results indicated that shared a negative with ITL, independent via JS, suggesting partial mediation effect. size on through larger than ITL.Conclusion: provides support understanding JS. findings have managerial implications as it insights how decrease turnover SDS.
