Employee personal use of technology at work (PUTW) – defined as employees’ activities using organisational or IT resources for non-work-related purposes while is increasingly common. Our review existing PUTW studies (n = 137) suggests that previous widely discussed outcomes, antecedents, and policies. The literature also indicates proposed opposing viewpoints regarding the effect on employee job performance, but few offered empirical evidence.
