Considering the significant role of implants in contemporary dentistry, practitioners must be able to acknowledge and anticipate clinical signs appropriate treatment measures peri-implant disease. The article aims provide an overview peri-implantitis, outlining its prevalence, etiology, risk factors, diagnosis, management for general practitioner. Peri-implantitis is a pathological condition usually associated with plaque. It exhibits inflammation around mucosa subsequent progressive bone loss. While some patients show signs, most exhibiting disease are asymptomatic. As result, clinicians first develop accurate diagnosis based on radiographic findings. peri-implantitis done if following criteria met: 1) presence bleeding, 2) loss, 3) increased probing depths. widely accepted that difficult manage prevention best form treatment. Early essential successful outcomes peri-implantitis. non-surgical may not always effective but should come advanced Good oral hygiene, location damaged implant, configuration defect, appear key factors influence predictability surgical interventions.
