Performance of MnO2 nanoparticles-coated cationic CTAB for detoxification and decolorization of sulfonated remazol red and reactive black 5 dyes from water

In this research, fabrication and functionalization of MnO2 nanoparticles with cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (MnO2 NPs-CTAB) were confirmed for removal two reactive anionic sulfonated azo dyes: remazol red (RR) black 5 (RB5). The modified nanosorbent was characterized via X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, BET SEM HRTEM studies. Various adjustable parameters, instance mass, pH, reaction contact time, dyes concentration, medium temperature interfering compounds, also explored. adsorption processes both favorable fitted the Langmuir isotherm model. highest capacities 40.00 38.46 mg g?1 RR RB5, respectively. kinetic models employed, results manifested preferable fitting pseudo-second-order one. standard thermodynamic parameters (?H°, ?S° ?G°) have been calculated, outcomes illustrated that RB5 exothermic spontaneous. Finally, potential applications NPs-CTAB under optimum conditions adsorptive decolorization detoxification from various water samples, tap water, raw seawater, investigated.
