چکیده
The pavement industry relies greatly on this conventional material in constructing the road. However, shortage of mined has led to need finding alternative with local materials partially substitute asphalt components. also contributed thermal and greenhouse emission resulting from mining activities. In addition, throughout year, amount construction demolition (C&D) waste generated civil activities particularly Malaysia is increasing alarming rate. Recycling C&D specifically bricks viewed as reasonable potential aggregate modifier impulse for greener sustainable production. paper, recycled crushed (RCB) introduced bituminous wearing course partial replacement coarse aggregates. replaced RCB proportions 0%, 10%, 20%, 30% 40% by weight. This study summarizes results laboratory evaluation Los Angeles Abrasion Value, Aggregate Crushing Value Marshall Test. Results show that asphaltic concrete modified 10% lowest abrasion crushing values which were 20.2% respectively. Similarly, mix highest Stability flow 15.61 kN 3.37 mm Thus, aggregates suitable be used can reduce dependency natural utilize efficiently.

Mechanisms of Phosphorus Removal by Recycled Crushed Concrete
Due to urbanisation, there are large amounts of waste concrete, particularly in rapidly industrialising countries. Currently, demolished concrete is mainly recycled as aggregate for reconstruction. This study has shown that larger sizes (2-5 mm) of recycled concrete aggregate (RCA) removed more than 90% of P from effluent when at pH 5. Analysis of the data, using equilibrium models, indicated a...
متن کاملPerformance of High-strength Concrete Made with Recycled Ceramic Aggregates
Recent scientific concerns to achieve sustainability in construction have suggested the implementation of using recycled aggregate in concrete because it has the potential to reduce the demand for extraction of natural raw materials and decrease the volume of wastes landfilled. In this respect, this study aims to investigate the suitability of using ceramic tile (CT) and ceramic sanitary (CS) w...
متن کاملInvestigating the Performance Characteristics of Asphaltic Concrete Containing Nano-Silica
Using nano-technology materials in the asphalt pavement industry is new compared with Portland cement concrete. The main objective of this study is to investigate the effects of nano-silica modification on some properties of a penetration grade asphalt cement and a typical asphalt concrete. 60/70 penetration grade bitumen was modified with different percentages of nano-silica (i.e. 1, 3 and 5%,...
متن کاملPerformance of Continuously Reinforced Concrete Pavement Containing Recycled Concrete Aggregate
In 1995, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) began reconstruction in Houston on a section of IH-10 with continuously reinforced concrete pavement (CRCP). The unique aspect of this project was the use of crushed concrete as both coarse and fine aggregates in the new concrete. No virgin aggregates were used. The primary objectives of this study were to evaluate (1) the material propert...
متن کاملEnhanced Performance of Recycled Aggregate Concrete with Atomic Polymer Technology
The atomic polymer technology in form of mesoporous inorganic polymer (MIP) can effectively improve material durability and performance of concrete by dramatically increase inter/intragranular bond strength of concrete at nano-scale. The strategy of MIP is fundamentally different from most additives currently on the market for industrial applications. When MIP is added to a concrete or masonry ...
