Performance evaluation of tractor mounted boom sprayer on chilly crop

Chilli (Capsicum annuum L.) is an important vegetable and spice crop belongs to Solanaceae family which grown all over the world. Dried pods contain 36 gms of carbohydrates, 18 proteins, excellent source vitamin A C together provide roughly 160 calories energy per 100 (Narayanan et al., 1999). Area, production productivity in India was 7.43 Lakh ha, 19.14 Tonnes 2576 kg/ha, respectively (Anonymous, 2018). Keeping mind, above parameters performance tractor operated boom sprayer tested on Chilly crop. Under laboratory conditions, designed performed excellently at 0.90 l/min nozzle discharge 689.5 kPa operating pressure. It observed that droplet size, spray uniformity, density influenced by rate pressure 0.45, 0.70, 0.90, 1.35 275.8, 413.7, 551.6, kPa, respectively. The Volume Median Daimater (VMD), Uniformity Coefficient (UC) Droplet Density (DD) existing have 130.9-206.36 µm, 0.98-1.39 11-27 number droplets/cm2, respectively, for 0.9 lpm kPa. modified has sizes between 125.04 181.42 m, densities 16 27 uniformity coefficients 0.99 1.25 discharges l/min. With working discharge, offers notably higher each individual than sprayer.
