Performance Evaluation of Polypropylene Fiber-Reinforced Pavement Quality Concrete Made with Waste Granite Powder

نویسندگان

چکیده

This research was conducted to evaluate the influence of waste granite powder (WGP) and polypropylene (PP) fibers on performance M35-grade pavement quality concrete (PQC). WGP mixed in PQC as replacement for cement varied from 0% 25%. The pozzolanic concert examined by strength activity index. PP assessed after addition 0.25% 1.25% volume concrete. mechanical properties were evaluated including compressive strength, flexural various durability related such acid attack, absorption test, sorptivity chloride penetration depth test. results showed that blended with enhanced slightly up level 15%. rooted reduction slump value; however, it improved presence 0.5% PQC. relationship between fiber-reinforced established.

Performance of Continuously Reinforced Concrete Pavement Containing Recycled Concrete Aggregate

In 1995, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) began reconstruction in Houston on a section of IH-10 with continuously reinforced concrete pavement (CRCP). The unique aspect of this project was the use of crushed concrete as both coarse and fine aggregates in the new concrete. No virgin aggregates were used. The primary objectives of this study were to evaluate (1) the material propert...

Mechanical properties of polypropylene-fiber reinforced concrete after gamma irradiation

Fiber reinforced concretes (FRCs) exhibit property improvement caused by the fibers. By using gamma radiation we have further improved mechanical properties of hydraulic concretes elaborated with Portland cement, water, silica sand, marble and polypropylene (PP) fibers. Compression strength, compression modulus, impact strength and dynamic elastic modulus were determined. Impact fatigue testing...

High Performance Reinforced Concrete Beams made with Sandstone Reactive Aggregates

An investigation on the flexural behaviour of reinforced high performance concrete (HPC) has been conducted. Crushed sandstone known as reactive aggregate was used for both fine and coarse aggregates. In addition, mineral admixtures such as silica fume and fly ash combined with superplasticiser was used. The beams were made with concrete having compressive strength in the range of 74 88 N/mm 2 ...
