چکیده

The phase equilibria, engine performance and gas emissions of gasoline-ethanol-water blends with pyridine isobutanol added for increased water tolerance, were investigated. It was observed that addition produced slightly higher ratios ethanol in the stable fuel blend when compared to isobutanol, ratio additive amount. Engine performances combustion characteristics measured a single cylinder, four-stroke, spark-ignition (SI) gasoline using different speeds commercial gasoline. best results obtained from HEP2 blend, consisting 8.94% ethanol, 4.26% 4.21% pyridine. Using this torque by 8.3% at low speeds, effective power %5 high while specific consumption decreased 14% optimum speeds. Compared NOx, CO HC found be reduced as much %32, %17.9 %45.9, respectively. Results showed properties enhanced due content can used SI engines an alternative commercially available gasoline, advantages emission rates.

Effect of Ignition Timing, Equivalence Ratio, and Compression Ratio on the Performance and Emission Characteristics of a Variable Compression Ratio Si Engine using Ethanol-Unleaded Gasoline Blends

This paper investigates the effect of ethanol-unleaded gasoline blends (E0,E10,E25,E35,andE65) computer interfaced, four-stroke single cylinder compression ignition engine. The said engine wasconverted to spark ignition and carburetion to suit ethanol fuel. A suitable provision was provided on theengine to vary the compression ratio thereby making the engine adaptable to operate at lowercompres...
