Performance Analysis of Distributed Compressed Air Energy Storage under Different Air Storage Chamber Models

Abstract To address the challenges brought by geographical, climate, and user dispersion in regional microgrids, villages northwest China for example, a distributed compressed air energy storage combined heat power model considering thermodynamic characteristics of devices is proposed. Firstly, architecture system based on microgrids constructed. Then, device under constant volume insulation, cogeneration established. The includes compression subsystem, air/heat expansion subsystem. Finally, results supply are discussed case study simulation different chamber models. show that insulation as best choice, which improve efficiency up to 25.6%. research provide theoretical basis decision-making reference application complex environment.
