Performance analysis of a residential photovoltaic string under partial shading

<span lang="EN-US">As one of the most prominent renewable energy resources, Photovoltaic (PV) generation has been growing dramatically over last years and its applications are classified into residential, commercial, power plant class, based on capacity. Especially, a typical residential PV system configured with serially connected modules. For modules, shading is critical factor to reduce whole string output power. This paper presents study performance analysis under partial shading. contains how many maximum points (MPPs) occur much would be lost while different positions intensities. PSIM simulation tool used verify analysis. As result, number MPPs directly related intensities, regardless position. In this paper, it was verified that 8 were generated for solar intensities location shadows extreme conditions. These results can utilized fault diagnosis in string.</span>
