Perceived competence of Filipino nursing students graduating during pandemic

Introduction: Given the importance of maintaining competence, there still is limited published research conducted in local setting touching on competence nursing students graduating during pandemic. This study determined perceived fundamental skills and core students.
 Method: The design quantitative descriptive cross-sectional. participants were 102 a public university Philippines. researchers used Perceived Competence Filipino Nurses Questionnaire to gather data May 2022 analyzed using SPSS software version 23.
 Results: results revealed that while majority reported their competencies greatly affected by shift online learning platform, most had high perception (M=6.97) (M=8.03). areas elimination (M=5.41) (M=7.63) lowest ranked skill competencies, respectively. There was significant difference (p< .05) students’ based self-reported academic performance.
 Conclusion: Despite reduce exposure clinical due pandemic, perceive themselves be highly confident capabilities as future professional nurses. Nonetheless, for improvement identified which warrant further assessment, validation, enhancement.
